You don’t have to be “advanced” – it’s designed to advance your diving, so you can start right after earning your PADI Open Water Diver certification. The course helps build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives. You try out different specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. You log dives and develop capabilities as you find new ways to have fun scuba diving.
The Advanced Open Water course is the next step to further your education and experience, as well as increasing your depth limit to 30 meters. It takes 2 days and there are 5 dives. You will do a Deep Dive and a Navigation Dive, as well as 3 dives of your choice. The most popular adventure dives here, are peak performance buoyancy, wreck, naturalist, night (additional 55 AED for night dive) and many more. You’ll plan your learning path with your instructor by choosing from a long list of Adventure Dives.
There will be a knowledge review for each dive that you choose to do. These can be completed in two ways, either in your manual or online, using your eLearning.
The cost of the course includes all of the necessary equipment, 5 dives and certification .
Get credit! Each Adventure Dive may credit toward the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver Course. If you’ve already taken a specialty diver course, ask your instructor if you’ve earned credit for an Adventure Dive.
If you’re already an Adventure Diver, you only need to complete two more Adventure Dives to earn the Advanced Open Water Diver certification.
